An exhibition on the occasion of the lifting of the ban on the house
170 (396)

Timm Ulrichs, a performance, conceptual, neo-dada artist or in his own words “total artist”, born in 1941,stole a small drawing by Gerhard Altenbourg in the Galerie Brusberg then in Hanover, on August 11, 1971, and declared this “art theft” to be a “total art demonstration”. Exactly 50 years later, we are commemorating this with an exhibition and at the same time officially lifting the ban on Timm Ulrichs from the gallery that was imposed following the event.
